Not sure I get the comeback thing at all. Touring the World as Queen frontman doesn't exactly mean he been out of music. Lol but if this is what it takes OK

A "comeback" isn't too far from the truth. In our Glambert world, Adam's always in the forefront but for the rest of the world, he hasn't been in the news much since FYE's release after AI (which raised a lot of awareness for him). Trespassing, although an awesome album, didn't bring him back into the limelight like all of us had hoped. So, a "comeback" it will be for Adam into the public consciousness. Anyway, a "comeback" will have many rooting for him and makes for good news headlines.

12:40, I think you're right. Call it what they want to, it's a comeback to lots of people who weren't onboard before but are now. This time around, the kickoff of his single and A3 is making a far bigger impact than before. More awareness, more acceptance, more sales. I'm so happy to see Adam breakthrough. More opportunities will come from this, I'm think.

I cringed a little when I read, "Comeback" because for all of us diehard Glamberts, we hear him daily via our CD's, You Tube, or whatever method all of us use to enjoy his magnificent voice. Of course, I for one, log on daily and read all the great comments on this wonderful fan site about our man, not to mention drool over every single photo, instagram etc. that we are lucky enough to share with each other. So Adam's been in my life since day 1 of the Idol Audition.

As other posters pointed out, some have not followed him so closely as we have, so if they are now becoming more aware of his amazing talent, then that's fantastic! Let's hope he gets noticed more and more....that's what most of use want for him....the recognition he so absolutely deserves....YAY Era 3!!!

Era 3 is far less successful this era 2 so far,but don't let facts get in the way of your nonsense.

Delusional

In terms of the industry, it is a comeback. Trespassing wasn't a commercial success, tiring with Queen doesn't "count." Adam has been gone for a long time.

Hopefully Ghost Town does it for Adam.

However they phrase it, I think it's a pretty great thing for Adam to be listed as #1 as Shazam's "most important thing" list for this week.

Although I agree that Q+AL was no small event -- and that includes worldwide.

And, yes, Gabi, isn't SF radio doing great with GT? All three Top 40 stations and both Hot AC stations have been playing the song a lot. And two of the Top 40 stations, 99.7 NOW and WiLD 94.9 have also been playing remixes! I'm not sure they're playing one of the big 5 remixes that are out there now, but it appears that, at least some of the plays I've heard, they themselves remix the song. On Fri/Sat they have DJs who do these long plays where they have mixed several songs together. I heard a remix on 99.7 a few days ago that sounded awesome!

I think we need to keep it real outside of our Glambert bubble. I definitely consider era3 a comeback for Adam in terms of his career as a recording artist. Yes, he has been successful in other fields - the Queen gig has been a huge accomplishment and he sure gets recognition and praise for it - but broad public awareness of him will rise again if he connects with his new music. It's looking really good so far and the promo has only started. San Francisco radio already loves him!

Did anybody get the Notion magazine? Mine came in today and the write-up about Adam is as real as it can get. Adam is fully aware that he was unable to connect with Trespassing outside of his fandom. I think the new musical direction will get him back into the "playing field".

@broddybounce, sorry, deleted my comment, formulated it a bit better, and reposted it.

I have heard GT on these four San Francisco radio stations during fairly busy commute times: Star 101.3, 99.7 Now, 94.9Wild, and Alice 97.3. Did I miss any others? I heard a GT remix played on 99.7 Now last Friday night while in the car:) I follow the radio stations above on twitter and I also adjusted my phone settings to get their notifications :) They sure like feedback and fan interactions!!!

Glamberts, please pay attention to this tweet that WarnerBrosPromo sent out yesterday:

WarnerBrosPromo @WarnerBrosPromo · May 15
What radio station have YOU heard @adamlambert #GhostTown on? Shout em out!! 👻👻👻

I sure tweeted away all afternoon :)))

Yes, you said it spot on!

The only place Adam really needs more visibility and support is his own home country!

Anonymous said...

Adam needs support and visibility everywhere.

Adam is less known in the UK than in the US, even after touring with Queen.

I'm sure there are many other countries where Adam just has small fan bases.

Unless you have statistics showing popularity by country you are just taking a biased guess.

I have yet to hear GT in the Boston area. Anyone else?

@2:09 Era 3 is just beginning. Too early to say which is more successful. Hopefully TOH will blow everything wide open for Adam. Only time will tell.

Adam is trying for a come back. Outside of the internet, he has had no publicity, except for the Ellen Show. Warner is trying hard to get his music on the radio, so far Ghost town has made a little headway. It's early yet, hope when the album is out in a few weeks, there will be more media publicity. Queen has been huge for him, there were countries that had never heard of him before. He owes them as much as he owes AI for getting his name out. He desperately needed something like Queen to come his way at this crucial time.

Hi Gabi! The third Top 40 station I was referring to is 92.7 REV-FM. They've played it a few times. But they must have fallen on hard times -- their signal has been reduced and it's hard to pickup if you're not right in SF or maybe Oakland. During single airplay for Trespassing album, their signal was strong throughout Bay Area. And their website sucks -- they haven't updated it since before Trespassing!! But, still, I'm glad they're playing the track. And if "Underground" does go full-blown single, maybe 102.1 & 106.1 will play it -- so soulful!
