The beleaguered show, which announced this week its next season will be its last, hasn’t produced a truly memorable star since Adam Lambert. The jury’s out on pop/rock everyman Nick Fradiani, crowned the winner Wednesday night over blue-eyed soul singer Clark Beckham.

Adam is always worth mentioning; the most talented beautiful man in the Universe. Idol should be glad that he even appeared on their stage. Adam is glad that he was given the opportunity to be on the show and get the exposure! It certainly allowed him to shine! Thank God for that!
I think it's impossible to Mention idol without mentioning Adam.
They were not expecting someone as dazzling as Adam in ANY season of AI....cute how he downplayed his pizazz when he auditioned ... no makeup, soft hair, quiet clothes .... then, BLAM!!! American Idol was never the same. He probably would have blown away The Voice show as they seem to love glitz and not so much "home spun" sweetie pies (who always seemed to win on AI). Either way, no one can top the strength of his voice and eyes and bod and grace and breath taking appeal. The sad truth is that it is teeny boppers who drive record sales and T. Swift and the Biebs hit the waves soon after Adam. Adam has a long, great career ahead of him, and behind him, (6 amazing years now) but hitting #1 is fickle and getting more so every year. His staying power is what it is and I hope it goes on as long as he wishes it too.
