Nice, but he doesn't get any credit for this. He didn't write it or anything. I really liked it when he sang it on Idol, but only his fans would know it was him on the commercial.

Adam's gorgeous voice in the media in any capacity is priceless! I read that whenever a singers voice is used in a commercial, he does get credit for it!.

The studio version of Feeling Good is my favorite EVER Adam vocal -- so original...a mixture of Blues, Jazz, Ballad and Pop. He is sooooo creative. A little history of that song might be interesting to some. It was from a 1965 musical production called The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd by Newley. However, it was made popular by Nina Simone who many thought had written the song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5Y11hwjMNs. Lots of people have sung it but it has recently been repopularized by Muse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PN6egPgazA. Of all the renditions I have heard, Nina Simone and Adam's Studio rendition are the most wonderful FOR ME. I recall on Idol, that was the song and performance that got him the lowest votes. It did not vibe well with the young voters. Now people seem to like it more.

@Beverly,

I agree with you about Nina Simone and Adam Lambert singing of that song. When I first heard Nina's version years ago, oh my God, she just owned it. I purchased it immediately and played it over and over again. She has a voice like velvet. It was a big hit at that time with everyone I knew. That woman can sing. Adam sings it so beautifully and does the song and Nina justice!!

Watching Adam on Idol was such a treat, you waited each week to see what the glam chameleon would turn into.
This night when I saw him on the staircase in the white suit and heard the first notes.....I yelled "it's Vegas night!"
I loved it! Still do.

Oh holy golly. Whew!!

Seeing that performance again in AI....

Man, I STILL feel just like Paula did and said in every last one of those Idol videos. After all these years.

That's the thing about Adam... his talent stays so fresh.

You know guys, IMO... Sometimes the very best way to truly take in Adam & appreciate his absolute brilliance and originality...
Is to go back allll the way back, again.... Back to the beginning.
(OUR beginning with Adam, anyway)
For me it's pretty much impossible to just leave the start of a trip down Adam's Idol lane to viewing only one Idol performance of his. Adam is like Lays Potato chips... 'you CAN'T have just one'!!

So. After re-viewing again these treasured AI performances...
re-living the chills... the tears... the laughs... the jaw-drops due to sheer wonderment... All over again (for what seems the umpteenth time - periodically, over these 6 years)...........
I am STILL just amazed.

I don't know if you all feel the same, but for me... It's like hearing & enjoying them fresh - just like 6 years ago.

He was so current THEN. And so very current NOW.

Folks... No one... NO ONE... has taken on American Idol and conquered it's stage and captured our hearts and devotion like that in the process... Like Adam Lambert.

Nope! NOBODY.

He was (and IS) THE most engaging... scintillating... electrifying...most exciting performer they've ever had.
Whether he was singing his face off or wooing us into little "Paula" - like puddles right along with her....
Hands down - just plain out raw, exquisite, Immaculate vocals and charisma. Adam brought ALL of himself each time to that stage... I had never seen anything quite like Him.
He has us eating out of the palm of his hand, remember?

That smile... my gawwwd...
It's no wonder I was a goner.

And, AI hasn't been the same since.

As Brian said... Adam is one in a billion.
Well, more accurately, he is only one in the world.
(Okay... yes, yes, I'm gushing - shamelessly! ;))

A most fascinating part of the 'Original High' here is....

He is like no one, but himself!

AND, so...
To see him now... What he has been doing & accomplishing... and Where he is headed...

It's continues to be ever brilliant. Deeply thrilling... and equally touching at the same time.

This young man deserves every scrap and dollar of success he gets!!

Not to mention... The very BEST of what life offers.

Honestly, though they looked as proud as peacocks... I have no idea just how Leila and Eber stayed composed at all while watching Adam perform in AI. I would have been bawling my eyes out if I were his mom (then again, perhaps they were more accustomed to it after years & years of doses of their GFG ;))!

What a extraordinary journey it has been over these years.

... And what amazeballs moments await us in A3!

Thank you, THANK YOU for posting Adam's AI "Feeling Good" performance along with the advertisement mention....
Enjoyed it (and the accompanying memory trip) immensely. :)))))))
