Thanks to one of our "Anon" posters for leading us to this late review of the Leeds show, which was posted on the website FORTY5 (forty5.co.uk), which bills itself as "Music for a new generation," reviewed by an uncredited writer.

"‘Somebody To Love’ was also a highlight for Lambert, as he reached high notes that I didn’t think were possible!"

"...Lambert blowing everybody away with ‘Save Me’..."

Thanks, broddy, for the thanks ;) the link was from me.

Another great and sweet review. I really liked this part:
"Before the band left the stage, they had the most modest goodbye I’ve ever seen, where Lambert was pointing for the crowd to cheer for May and Taylor, they were pointing for the cheers to be directed at Lambert, the crowd was cheering for them all, and eventually Taylor encouraged May to join him front of stage as they both bowed. One of my favourite things of the night was how they all patted each other on the backs, shook hands, and said “well done” to each other at the end of tracks, it was so lovely to see. Lambert also showed his appreciation to and of May and Taylor, as he regularly watched them play in awe."

I wonder how two reviewers from the same town/city can have such conflicting views about the same concert. Makes you think that one of them already had his mind made up before he got there ... don't you think?? Too bad he couldn't let himself enjoy the 'Fabulous-ness' of the 'new' QUEEN instead of pining for the absent member of the QUEEN of the past. I'm referring of course to the other review from Leeds who did NOT like QUEEN or ADAM! I gave my opinion on the other thread ... so won't re-hash it again. I'm only happy that QUEEN & ADAM are being so well-received by the majority of the reviewers in the UK!! Rock On Guys!!

Lambert Outlaw, I believe two people from the same town can easily have different opinions about the same concert. I'm not sure why people keep expecting everyone to love QAL as much as we fans do.

My Lands.... I just now got a chance to read this one. What a fantastic review and recap account of this reviewers experience with QAL. You could really tell that he/she had been there at Leeds QAL. Not just in attendance..but really BEEN there -really present...so as to take it ALL in.
It felt like I was experiencing right along with him/her... nodding, chuckling & tearing up at the observations and acclamations. This reviewer also entered quite a bit of the genuine human elements involved with QAL performances and collabs... the openly demonstrated mutual appreciation, affectionate gestures and verbal affirmations...the exchanges of humility and deference... the gentle ribbing between Roger & his son.

Such a pleasure to read.

Thank you, Broddy! :))
