Very BRIEF snippet of Queen and Adam Lambert performing at the Helene Fischer Christmas Show taping today (12-12-14) in Berlin. Note: we don't hear Adam singing here... but can hardly wait to hear more!!!

Helene Fischer sings with Queen and Adam Lambert "Who Wants To Live Forever".. She sings with all of her guest performers and is very well known and loved in Germany..

This show is apparently the biggest and most popular of the Christmas Specials in Germany, with massive television viewership! Excellent promo for the upcoming German Q+AL concerts and fabulous exposure for Adam Lambert as well..

**This show will be broadcast on Christmas Day, 2014..

And OH!!! what a song!!!

Wunderbar! Now I'm wishing that Adam might appear in the US on a holiday show...one of these years!
It'll happen I'm sure.

Sorry, but I have got mixed feelings about that. Since the tour was announced at the end of September there were other opportunities for them to promote their tour, e.g. "The Voice of Germany" (the finals were today). Of course, Helene Fischer is very popular here in Germany plus some other European countries. She had a very successful tour this year and there is a huge demand for her tour next year. But German Schlager and Queen + Adam Lambert???
On the other hand I am always annoyed when people have prejudices hearing that Adam became popular because of an casting show.
Maybe I should just be happy to see them (especially Adam)and enjoy their perfomance, which I am certainly going to do.

This is much bigger than an opportunity to perform at "The Voice of Germany": Major TV viewing time, Helene Fischer is HUGE and not just a one trick pony, and Q&A already had their casting show performance with X-factor. I couldn't be more excited about this gig!

Adam Lambert on TV in any Country doing what he does best and thrilling audiences is a WIN for us all!

That is a beautiful song, and I hope the lady gives Adam a chance to sing some of the parts that really show off his voice. Who thought this would be a good song and a good person for him to duet with? Was it a collab of Queen and the lady. No wonder he hasn't come back yet, these gigs keep popping up. We will know where we are when the tour starts.

The Helene F. show is mostly watched by more mature, older folks. She has done WWTLF with Freddie singing on the screen...

So after the show Adam could have more fans who want him to tone it down, only sing duets and ballads, do musicals and who want him to stop with all the shenanigans & antics on and off the stage and just stand behind the mic and sing. Make duets with beautiful women and let them shine, cause he is such a gentleman and knows how to do it.... Puhleeezzzz!

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but how anybody could not be thrilled about Adam performing to millions on major TV anywhere in the world is beyond me. Sorry.

Many mature older folks like Adam just fine the way he is.
You can't have it both ways...complain because Adam has
mature women in his audience...then complain that the mature fans need to make way and be invisible.....AND then complain that they want him to "tone it down, only sing duets and ballads, etc."

Who are these fans? I don't know any. Most of them
don't disapprove of anything Adam does musically.
And the rest of his life is none of our business.

4:51, Huh? This is one show. And a major one, at that. Life hands you opportunities, you take them.

She is very popular in Germany and neighbouring countries. Big production shows. To me she sounds too "Eurovision Song Contest", what ever she sings. The local Celine Dion?

She sounds spectacular. Can't wait for the vids to start rolling in.

I just found Helene Fischer's show where she did a QUEEN Medley
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rETBGh2JU34
She is lovely and has a lovely voice but I would describe her as being very "commercial" and well "manicured" rather than soulful. To me, that violinist was SOULFUL. Adam is well "manicured" AND soulful. Not to worry, he can sing with anyone and make the both of them look good.

The very popular pop band Take That is also on the show so that should draw even more watchers and likely a younger audience. That is all good for Adam.

I'm glad they made this appearance, six concerts in Germany are a lot. This will help fill those venues. I hope I hope.

I remember the Take Back band very big in the 90's and quite good.Time flies they must be in there 40's now.

Take that.

I don't think TakeThat has all it's original members I wonder if they get as much negativity As Q/AL.

8:39 pm, they are back, minus Williams and Orange, selling out concerts again. Their new album debuted at number one.

Thanks for the link Beverly.

David Garrett's violin performance with the orchestra of We Will Rock You was fabulous & the duet of Helene Fischer & Freddie was excellent. Their voices blended well.

@Gabi: I think everybody is happy for Adam (and Queen)to have an opportunity to perform in front of such a big audience, of course, and I am sure he will be brilliant. That was not the point when I wrote about my mixed "feelings" It is just the different kind of music which does not fit very well in my opinion.
@4:51: How old are mature and old people? Many Queen fans are older than 50 Years and love Rock Music and Helen Fischer is very popular at younger people. Brian May is 67 and Roger Taylor is 65 years old and they definitely do not want him to "tone it down" and only sing ballads. I am 50 years old and since 2010 I love Adam´s way to perform and to sing every kind of song he does.
