Guess what Glamberts? Adam Lambert is set to make his big screen debut in 2015’s ‘Brand’.

According to Imdb.com, ‘Brand’ is “Russell Brand’s spiritual and biographical journey meeting with a fascinating range of people- American Marines, Kenyan orphans, socialists and death row inmates- challenging and empowering people to stage a non-violent revolution.”
In addition to Russell Brand starring as himself, several other celebrities are set to appear playing themselves as well including ex-wife Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Mike Tyson, Donald Trump, Cameron Diaz, Oliver Stone, Adrian Grenier, and more.
Lambert’s role has not been confirmed by him or his representatives. It is unclear whether he will have a starring role or a small cameo, but either way fans will be thrilled to see him on the big screen.
In the meantime, Adam Lambert continues to tour with Queen as the lead singer.

I sincerely doubt Adam will "star" in a Russell Brand movie. I imagine Russell will star. I also imagine the footage we see of Adam will be footage we have already seen.

I am hoping for footage of the RoveLa show that was funny.

Russell Brand's movie "Brand" is a documentary style movie, real life.. There will be a variety of other "stars" as noted... Adam Lambert is listed in a long cast list... It remains to be seen how much screen time Adam will get... No doubt one of many celebs/interesting people Russell Brand has met along the way...

**We've posted this info before very recently as another thread topic.. (on November 14th)...

""Russell Brand's spiritual and biographical journey meeting with a fascinating range of people - American Marines, Kenyan orphans, socialists and death row inmates - challenging and empowering people to stage a non-violent revolution."

"Every day of our lives, from the minute we can be marketed to the myth that becoming famous will make our lives complete, or consuming a certain something will be the answer, is chucked down our throats. Yet, the reality is that the medium ain't the message. You become famous for what you do, and therefore it's what you do that matters. This crucial element is overlooked entirely by whole generations of drones who worship at the wrong altar. Russell Brand is a troubled visionary who embraced the superficial and doped up times in which we live, only to find it was an empty proposition. He started a search for meaning, which lead him to dig out his heroes: Gandhi, Malcolm X, Jesus and Ché Guevara - to look at why they did what they did, how they did what they did, and in what ways he might be a little bit like them. He starts writing about them: They are all willing to die for what they believe in, all immortal and timeless due to their singular and unwavering dedication to their causes. This becomes the Messiah Complex show, where Brand skillfully balances philosophy, history and humour, and he embarks on his first-ever world tour. This feature documentary follows his spiritual and biographical journey as Brand travels far and wide, meeting with a wide and fascinating range of people- from Mike Tyson, Pink, 50 Cent, Noel Gallagher, to American Marines, orphans in Kenya, socialists in London. and inmates on death row - culminating in the evolution of this ground breaking tour and book challenging and empowering the people to stage a non-violent revolution."

Wow, Lam-My! I'll need to re-read your reply a couple times to more fully grasp the detail of your content.
It's fascinating.... Thank you :)

(Oh, and sorry about my disappearing comment/question to you. I thought to rephrase my question a little more clearly and reposted it again - or so I thought - and, oddly, it didn't show up. Weird. Anyway, thanks! :))

It's a documentary with cameos by many celebs.

I'm guessing new footage of Adam answering Russell's questions/discussing the topic of the documentary.

I am sure Adam is embarrassed to be called the star of the show. Don't know who started that silly rumor. He is doing a cameo appearance with quite a few other people. His part may not even be worthy or big enough for using it in his credits.
I am sure he is excited about another trip to the UK next week, to perform on X-Factor. Gives him a chance to rehearse any new songs with Queen for the tour in January. These are nice perks to use for tax purposes.

Like Russell Brand himself, I'm sure this film will be a bowl full of clever silliness. I don't think any of the celebs will have big parts, probably just little cameos of meeting Russell on his "journey." But it is great that Adam is included along with the others, including Russell's ex, Katy Perry. I'm glad Adam's going to be apart of it, whatever it turns out to be. It will get some buzz. I like the fact that Adam got approached to do it. It shows that he name does come up in a group of celebs. I think this movie will be very funny and just maybe a little thought-provoking.

8:04pm, I don't think the IRS would like Adam attempting to deduct travel and TV appearances.

@8:41
Of course he gets to deduct for travel expenses, food hotel room if it is all work related. I have had my own business, and anything work related is counted in. If he has to travel to the UK, you bet it's all deducted for taxes. You keep a ledger and receipts. Adam makes so much money, he knows what to do.

This why he has an accountant. It's his job to report all these things for Adam when he does Adam's tax report, along with his earnings.

9:04, I really hope you have consulted a CPA because it is not as simple as you make it seem. Additionally, if the trip is paid by "Q+AL" Adam wouldn't have any expenses to deduct. I know because I work in a CPAs office.

Thanks for posting that info (again), glitzylady. It should be an interesting doco.

You're welcome.. I'm looking forward to it.. Russell Brand is always VERRRRY interesting...

Anne Marie said...

@9:50 You are right, if Q+AL pays for it, then of course Queen
gets the tax deduction. Just like when Adam pays for his band when he uses them. If Adam is out of pocket himself, then he can use it for a tax deduction. Of course he cannot use the trip as a deduction, if he didn't pay for it on his own credit card. But if he does pay for it and it is work related, then it is deductible.

That you can watch on youtube anytime. I'm hoping for new material, anything they (Brand & Co) come up with. Love witty guys!

It is wonderful Adam is in this movie. Yes it is probably a cameo along with many stars. It's great he in with all these celebs. But there is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed by.
His management or Adam himself has said nothin about being a star on it they can not control other people who are just trying to get Glamberts to read and comment on their articles. Still it was a nice article.
I also doubt his part is so unimportant no one will even notice or hardly worth mentioning. He in a film no matter if its a cameo as some body said here baby steps. RB out him in. Adam has said Russell is very smart and very quick witted. He was on that show with him. However it may be something we have seen before but maybe he interviewed him about something else we all know Adam is active in many charities. Correction RB put him in the movie not out him.
I am so looking forward to Adam on X Factor. Queen and Adam are crazy good together no one can beat them.
One of my daughters is an accountant she did our taxes last year. Think ill ask her these questions out of curiosity about taxes. Sue
