Queen has been out touring this year with Adam Lambert and folks have been really happy to get a chance to see the band in arenas again here in the U.S. What was it like for you, going back out on an extended tour?

It was about four months, because we went to Asia and Australia as well. I have to say, it was just great. You know, we got on so well with Adam. He fitted in so well with us and he brought so much to the show. [He’s a] great frontman and he looked great and he sings beautifully, and his style is very suited to our music. You know, it’s pretty theatrical music, some of our stuff. He’s the greatest. So, we really had a ball and I think it came over in the shows. They were very well attended and the reception that we got in every city was great. So, it was a really great experience and I’m thrilled. We’re going to go on and do Europe in January and February. It’s all good.

After the European run that you mentioned, what sort of thoughts have you all had? Do you want to record with Adam?

I think it would be great to do something, yeah. Not an album, probably. He’s got his own stuff to do, and that’s very much a priority for him. I think it would be very interesting, because his voice is so extraordinary and I think we could really do something great with it. I see no end to the possibility and the potential of Adam Lambert. He’s a fabulous performer, and I think it would be very interesting to do something with him.

Nice to see confirmed that Roger and Brian respect the fact that Adam's "own stuff" is a priority for him.

I read the rest of the article, and also listened to Freddie sing Love Kills. It is a great song, but with due respect to Freddie, Adam has the better voice. In his day I can see why people loved Freddie singing the song. Adam has something some thing special about his voice, there is more feeling, I can't quite explain it, except to say he is a better all around singer than Freddie. Not saying Freddie wasn't a good singer, but Adam has a certain kind of beauty to his voice.

It sounds pretty certain that Adam and Queen will do more together, including recording new music. Brian and Roger KNOW what a gem they have on their hands, and they're not going to waste the chance to use Adam to full advantage for all concerned. Can't wait to see what they come up with!

As for Adam vs. Freddie with Love Kills. Many fans have their heart and soul with the original vocalist of a song, just for loyalty's sake. I do the same thing with many songs. But Adam's voice is so special that it's hard to deny the fact he just nails every song with tone and shape and style. Freddie did it his own way and Adam does it his own way. Brian and Roger know quite well that they have found a very special singer who is great beyond their wildest dreams.

INDEED, to EVERYTHING Roger said!

Makes me so happy to see and hear Roger and Brian so visibly and openly showing their love and appreciation for Adam. It's a delight to witness!

Roger & Nrian are special kind of men in so many ways... Not to make too rigid generalizations or be disrespectful to anyone, but ime men of the same age as R & B often tend to be so NOT like them... :)))
