Sounds like it will be more about Freddie than Queen and Adam.

Good grief, are they really going through the list of Freddie's lovers next time? Probably just Mary then.

Just read this interview where Freddie's mother tells about his son.

Thank you for sharing that interview with Freddie's sweet mother.. I really loved reading it..

You mentioned in your comment, about his mother talking about "his" (Freddie's) son?? It didn't seem to me that she said Freddie had a son, although his long-time love, Mary, had two sons by another man...at least that's what I understood her to say...

Glitzylady, I meant her talking about Freddie. I also watched a video of Freddie's 39th birthday party in Munich. At the beginning of the video all the stars praise him. Adam has some big boots to fill..

I wondered if that was what you meant :)) but wanted to be sure.. :)))

Adam does have some big boots to fill, although he's said repeatedly that he's "wearing his own (fabulous!) boots", not Freddie's.. meaning he doesn't want to be thought of as trying to "replacing" Freddie, but merely as someone who is honoring his memory and the songs of Freddie's, and Queen's..by using his own voice, with the blessing of Dr. Brian May and Roger Taylor..

Thank you again for sharing the links... Much appreciated!!!!

This new gem to Adam's story reminds me that Adam's life is rife with magical moments that could not have been scripted better, coming from either his or others' mouths. His presence and persona have created memorable endless images and words that a biographer/producer/
director of Adam's life would not need to dig far or deep or even resort to embellishing to craft a compelling, dramatic story of our Muse. All the soundbites and visuals are there for the easy picking: from his first act as newborn with the intent gaze under heavy brows to youth spent in music and theater, to his Burning Man epiphany; from his memorable Idol audition singing a Queen song, springboard to career triuimphs and disappointments, to a smitten Queen's adulation and choice as their brilliant, revitalizing frontman, Adam's full story and promise has yet to be told. Meanwhile, the exhilarating life of this uber talented, polarizing, and thoroughly captivating artist is unfolding as if scripted and performed on a stage, appropriately enough--Adam's "happy place" for fans for whom he "lives proud". A worthy protagonist, hero, and muse for our times, Adam, post "born this way", was just "born for the stage". atm

It seems like there will be extensive footage on Freddie as part of this interview in order to reflect properly on Queen's iconic journey. This should make a lot of Freddie diehards happy. For me, one glimpse of Adam with his gorgeous smile would be enough at this point as I have no doubts he will be much talked about during and after the tour!

Btw. I am selling (at cost) two very decent tix for the concert on 7/1 in San Jose. (bought a bunch at the fan club pre-sale). Anybody interested before I put them up on StubHub?

@ atm that was beautiful and powerful! Thank you for putting into words what we feel about Adam. I am just so excited for this tour!

I keep thinking about Leila saying what she wanted for Adam was to always be surrounded by people who love him. Well these next months she will have her way because Brian and Roger love Adam.

Anyone remember Queen performing at the Live Aid concert? My son has the tape and I love watching it over and over. Who would know a young man named Adam Lambert would be performing with the great Queen!

So many beautiful thoughts about a beautiful and crazy talented man Adam Lambert. Just beautifully put 2.43 . Sue

Yes, after Live Aid the band got back together. I watched the documentary Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender and seemed like Freddie wanted to distance himself from Queen and rock music that time. The documentary was very eye opening. I'd say a must see for those Queen fans who think Brian and Rodger should not tour anymore.

WOW atm.....I think you should write Adam's biography one day. Absolutely wonderful :)

Wow atm that's amazing! I would love him to read that :) xoxox

The Live Aid concert was amazing!Watched all day. Freddie had the audience in the palm of his hand. Queen was one of the best bands that day IMO.

A few more days and the whole interview is available, YAY!

QUEEN + ADAM = RESPECT & LOVE
